Masjid Salah Applications (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
When you use the Masjid Salah Applications, we may collect the following information:
- Account Information: Name, email.
- Device Information: Basic device details (model, OS version, app version) for app functionality and troubleshooting.
- Firebase Data: We use Google Firebase for authentication, storage, and notifications.
- Locally Stored Donation Details (Optional): With your consent, we save certain donation-related information (such as your name, email, or preferred donation amount) locally on your device to make future donations quicker and easier. This information is stored only on your phone and is not uploaded to our servers as part of this convenience feature.
We do not collect sensitive personal information unless necessary for the app’s features.
We use your information only to:
- Provide prayer time schedules and mosque updates.
- Send important notifications (e.g., prayer reminders, mosque events).
- Improve app functionality and user experience.
- Pre-fill donation details you have chosen to save on your device, so you can donate more conveniently.
Saving Donation Details on Your Device
To make donating easier, we offer an optional, opt-in feature that securely stores your donation details locally on your device:
- Opt-In: This feature is disabled by default. Your donation details are only saved if you explicitly choose to enable it.
- Local Storage Only: The saved details remain on your device and are used solely to pre-fill donation forms for your convenience.
- Remove at Any Time: You can delete this saved information at any time from within the app (Settings → Donations → Remove saved details), or by clearing the app’s data. Removing it will not affect your ability to make future donations.
We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties. However, we may use trusted third-party services (such as Google Firebase) that process data on our behalf in accordance with their privacy policies.
Children’s Privacy
If your child is under 13, they may use the app under parental or guardian supervision. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have done so, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Data Retention & Security
- We keep data only as long as necessary to provide our services.
- Donation details saved on your device are retained until you remove them or clear the app’s data.
- We apply appropriate safeguards to prevent unauthorized access.
Your Rights
You may:
- Request deletion of your account/data through the app when logged-in (Settings → account management → delete account).
- Remove locally saved donation details at any time (Settings → Donations → Remove saved details).
- Stop using the app at any time.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted here with a new “Effective Date.”
